The guys are going to hate me for this.
Ever since getting into the marketing side of our business, I've been taking every opportunity I have to photograph the farm, especially getting working photos of us. Today, Peter Jerry & I were out checking fields and I got some awesome shots.
My father-in-law, Jerry, inspecting the alfalfa.
Pete is contemplating the organic alfalfa himself. Mmm, alfalfa.
After getting 4" of rain in the first three weeks of May and now some beautiful sunshine, it looks like the alfalfa will be ready for its first cutting in the next few weeks.
And just to keep it real. Here I am, being a goofball. Can you tell we have fun?
Anyway-- I was transplanting tomatoes this afternoon in the garden, courtesy of the lovely Rebecca White from Listening Stones Farm, and was waxing poetic to myself, as I tend to, about how awesome it is to work side-by-side with both my life/love partner and my father-in-law. I have the opportunity to learn everyday about an industry from someone who has worked in it for years.
